The Youth at IUMC is made up of teens 7-12th grade. Our mission for our youth is to help each teen grow in their personal and spiritual lives. With the stress and demand on our teens increasing, we want to be a safe haven for each and every young person to grow in their walk with Christ.
Kids grow and develop so much during their 7th and 12th grade years in school. We want to be there to teach, love, and support them through these years. The IUMC Youth meet on Sunday mornings in “The Loft” for Sunday school at 10am where we help each teen grown in and learn about our Methodist and Christian faith. There are small group youth meetings and events throughout the year.
Last year we took a group of our teens and chaperones to see Sadie Robertson in her Live Original Tour in Myrtle Beach, SC where we spent the weekend in worship and fellowship with each other growing in our faith.
Our youth take part in the following activities at IUMC:
- Souper Bowl of Caring
- Trunk or Treat
- Children’s Christmas Play
- Youth Retreats and Concerts
- Out of Darkness Campus Walk
- Rebel Gameday
- Much Much More
Our youth are the future of Immanuel UMC and our Christian faith. We at Immanuel hope to equip each teen to go out into the world as young adults and become and make disciples for the transformation of the world.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
