Children’s Ministry

Immanuel UMC is a growing church in a small town with a huge heart for young people. Our children are a vital part of our church. Here at Immanuel UMC, we believe in the importance of laying a strong foundation at church and at home for our young children to one day become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. We have trained and excellent adults committed to instilling a love of a Christ in our children through our various ministries.

Sundays at Immanuel UMC

Before church, we have Sunday School for all ages. As we begin our time of worship the children take up their missions offering in their fish nets. After this offering we pray for our children and then children 4 years of age through 6th grade are dismissed to head to their Kingdom Kids service and  newborns-3 year olds head to their time in the nursery.

Kingdom Kids

Kingdom Kids is a personalized and unique worship experience for children ages 4K-6th grade. This service follows a traditional order of worship, but is designed just for these precious kids. We believe it is important to be intentional in developing our kids to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Kingdom Kids allows them a safe place to learn how to pray, worship, give, and discuss the sermon with other children. \

Kingdom Kids is where Immanuel’s children will gather to worship, grow in grace, and go with faith.

In Mark 10: 14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” God wants our children to experience the love He has for them. We hope you see that we love and cherish our children at IUMC, and we continue to prayerfully pursue ways to better enrich our children’s ministries in hopes to lead them to a greater and richer relationship and love for Jesus Christ.
